Believe It

March 21 - Believe It.png

I have recently read an article that stated that your thoughts do not affect the outcome.  It claims that the work you put into it is what makes it happen.  While this is true, it’s not the only factor in you achieving your goals.

Your thoughts control your actions and will affect your outcome.

You’ve heard this saying many times throughout your life.  The thought of controlling the outcome with my thoughts sounds like something from a sci-fi movie.  Right?

If you woke up believing that it will be a horrible day, your subconscious will work overtime to make sure that happens.  From this perspective, you will find that everything annoys you.  The birds will sing too loudly and the sun will shine too brightly.  You have manifested the horrible day you thought you were going to have.

However, if you wake up and believe it will be a great day, you will have a great day.  You will be happy and will hear the music of the birds singing and enjoy the beauty of the sun shining.

Your mind is a powerful tool and if you use it properly you can achieve anything!

Think back to your last big achievement.

  • What thoughts did you have while you were accomplishing it?

  • If you were discouraged and kept thinking about how much work it is or how hard it is to do, did it take longer than expected?

Now think of an achievement that didn’t seem so hard or take so long.

  • What was different about it?

  • Did you believe it was easy or that it wouldn’t take a long time to complete?

  • Were you excited to do the project?

Be careful what you tell yourself.  You are always listening!

Your state of mind reflects the effort you put into achieving those goals.  So, if you want to achieve it, you have to believe you can.
