Create Fun
When your children are small, it’s so easy to be creative with them because they love to learn. They like to paint, cook, bake, and use their imaginations in so many ways.
As your children grow older, they want to do things on their own and hang out with their friends. Even when they grow up and have families of their own, your family time does not need to end. There are so many things you can do together to foster their creativity and yours.
Have your family help to plan the activity. You can even assign one week to each person and make sure they do the planning, budgeting, shopping, set up and clean up for the event.
Set a weekly or monthly date with your children to do something fun together. When you schedule the date, allow each person in your family to pick the activity for that day. Let them plan it, budget it, shop for it, and put in the work necessary to make this day happen. People tend not to cancel if they have some investment of time or money in an event. They even start to look forward to participating in their day.
Be creative about the activities you try, such as arts and crafts, an outdoor activity, game night, cooking or baking, karaoke, make a tik tok video, or even hold some sort of challenge.
The idea is to get together with your family. Whatever you decide to do, remember to have fun, laugh, play, create, and enjoy every moment you spend together.
